The Boston Massacre has now become the Minneapolis Massacre and the British Red Coats are United States federal agents with masks, who have no checks against killing American citizens. And who have the full backing of government spokesmen who speak at full volume their bearing of false witness to exult in demonizing the dead.

Whither the nation’s militias? Did they not claim this is why we have the Second Amendment, to stop the excesses of federal tyranny? To protect us from the “jack-booted thugs”? Is this not the scenario they warned that Clinton, Obama and Biden were going to enact? It now seems that they were lying the whole time.

And where are the churches, especially the Catholic Church? They have already seen one of their priests in Chicago attacked and thrown to the ground like so much trash, but that is apparently yesterday’s news and not worth a follow up. I’m so old, I remember when a church in South Carolina openly declared that Joe Biden would not receive communion because of abortion. I would pay good money to see a diocese deny communion to any ICE killer or any dog of the Department of Homeland Security. I would pay good money to see the moral authority of the one true and apostolic church being used for more than bitching about abortion and gay marriage.

How does that saying go? Ah yes, “silence is consent.”  Access to power remains paramount to enact religious agendas, not trifling with dead American patriots protesting the overreach of their government.

And most of all: the public. Again, I’m so old that I remember the scandal and horror of the shootings at Kent State University in Ohio. But the second murder in as many days at the hands of federal killers in Minnesota? Not registering anywhere near that. The fundamental depravity of the American public is reduced to helping the government *blame the victims* with online comments while the rest talk about playoff games. It’s almost as if what is happening in Minneapolis is in some other country and we just can’t be bothered. That said though, this is typical of societies that have collapsed into dictatorships: life goes on and whaddya gonna do? Let's just count the days until the midterm elections because that will fix everything. We have gone from “sic semper tyrannis” to “servi sumus.”

The spirit of 1776 is dead, the sacrifice of the Greatest Generation was for nothing, the courage of the Civil Rights Era is spent and America has been beaten, defeated and broken by a convicted criminal from Queens. And now there’s a body count.
