The United States is not at an inflection point, and it’s not at the crossroads: it is well past the event horizon of the black hole from which there is no escape.

And what has it fallen to? Well, simply put: to evil.

Evil has triumphed within the United States. Forcibly kidnapping people and sending them to countries with no due legal process is not a bureaucratic mistake: it’s now policy that is an act of evil. Individuals, many of them actual American citizens, are being caught up in the satanic lie of “immigration control.” A literal police state, headed by ICE, is taking shape right before everyone’s eyes, and an abomination of an omnibus bill promises that disreputable agency billions, even more money than what the entire Marine Corps receives. Not to mention the “military boundary” at the border that is increasing each day. And of course, the convicted criminal in the White House is ignoring the courts, still high off the additional power handed to him by a corrupted Supreme Court and an irrelevant Congress. It is a crime spree the likes of which the country has never seen.

America has been beaten, and damaged in a way that 19 hijackers in airplanes could only have dreamed of inflicting.

It did not take a prophet to warn was going to happen, but like other prophets of old, the dire statements were ignored by a lazy, deaf public. But sometimes you can find prophecy in odd places, such as the ending to Stephen King’s novel, “The Stand”. An extended quote is worth the read:

“Frannie,” he said, and turned her around so he could look into her eyes.
“What, Stuart?”
“Do you think…do you think people ever learn anything?”
She opened her mouth to speak, hesitated, fell silent.
…
“I don’t know,” she said at last. She seemed unpleased with her answer; she struggled to say something more; to illuminate her first response; and could only say it again.
*I don’t know.*
