The United States has betrayed Ukraine.

Under the aegis of a convicted criminal, surrounded by incompetent and morally bankrupt bootlickers, the United States has attacked the president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, to deliver him into the hands of the KGB-trained dictator of Russia, Vladimir Putin.

The latter could not be happier.

But it’s the utter betrayal of Ukraine that is the shot heard around the world: the United States cannot be trusted. And for the first time in its history, America has aligned itself with an historical adversary, Russia, to the extent of parroting Putin’s talking points about the invasion of Ukraine, now entering its fourth year. The right-wing, also steeped in those lies, have long-pilloried Zelenskyy as merely taking money from the US taxpayer and have clamored for funds be cut off.

And they got their wish.

In addition to the political betrayal, America has abandoned its ally on the battlefield: military weapons, which are manufactured in the US and whose companies are the direct beneficiaries of that aid, are now gone. And this is what Europeans need to understand, but seem to be slow on the pickup: it ain’t just Ukraine that is being left behind, but all of Europe. The criminal president of the United States has signalled his Russian master that America will stand by and let Putin do what he wants on the continent. No American aid, no American protection, no American presence, and an inevitable withdrawal from NATO. The only thing the Kremlin regrets is that this didn't occur during the Soviet Union.

In many respects, Zelenskyy stands alone: his nation continues to fight against the Russian aggressor as he proceeds to court and shore up European support. But he has been singled out by a corrupt, venal and despicable criminal regime running the United States and duly thrown out, literally and figuratively. But in his defiance against Russia, Zelenskyy irks the diseased mind of the entire Republican Party, who quake in fear of their criminal overlord, and like Secretary of State Marco Rubio, sit silently like cowering children on a couch as their leader attacks a man defending his nation. But they dare not say a word and they will not.

The United States is not to be trusted. It has left Ukraine and will not return but to force Zelenskyy and his people into some disgraceful and unfair peace deal, thus signalling that the betrayal is complete.

Europeans, you’ve been warned. Again.
